In short and in plain words: what you can expect from Organize Gifts and what we do with your data.

Free and without guarantee

You use Organize Gifts free of charge, as it is. We give no guarantee – not that it is always available, not that it is free of errors, and not that data is never lost.
We may change, limit or end the service at any time.
You are responsible for what you write in your lists. Don't use the service for anything unlawful; we may block accounts that misuse it.
We don't collect, hold or pay out any money. For shared gifts, the list owner or the organizer arranges the payment; we are not part of it.

What we store and why

Your account: email address (to sign in and for notifications), name (shown to people on shared lists), password (only as a hash, never readable), country and language, your newsletter choice, and optionally a postal address.
What you create: lists, wishes, reservations, contributions and the email addresses of people you invite to a list.
Feedback reaches us by email; the application doesn't store it.

We collect nothing else. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising. We only use two necessary cookies: one keeps you signed in (and protects forms), the other remembers your language.

We don't sell, rent or pass on your data. The only exceptions are the services the site can't run without – server hosting in the EU and email delivery – and cases where the law requires it.

Who sees what

People on a shared list see each other's names.
The list owner also sees the email addresses of the guests they added.
Other users never see your country, address or newsletter choice.
Reservations are shown only as the list's privacy settings allow.

How long we keep data

Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after 2 hours.
Pending invitations expire after 90 days.
Backups are kept for 14 days.
Everything else is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
